John McManus will discuss his latest book, “To the End of the Earth: The US Army and the Downfall of Japan, 1945.” This presentation coincides with the 80th Anniversary of the end of World War II in the Pacific. McManus, a distinguished author and professor, is renowned for his extensive research and compelling narratives on military history. His latest work delves into the final, pivotal months of World War II, offering a detailed and gripping account of the US Army's role in the downfall of Japan. This lecture promises to provide unique insights and a deeper understanding of the events that shaped the conclusion of the war.
The lecture will be held at the 天美传媒 Technical Community 天美传媒 Auditorium from 1-2 PM, followed by a book signing at the 天美传媒 Armory National Historic Site Museum.
